Welcome to Our Class!
My name is Michal White and I am so excited to teach 7th Grade ELA this year! We have had an exciting few days back in the classroom. Our first unit will be about Story Elements and how they interact within a narrative. We will also begin explicit reading instruction. Most of our work will be done on Schoology, where I will post regular updates and daily assignments.
About the Teacher
My name is Michal White and this is my sixth year with DeSoto county schools. I live in Hernando with my husband, two kids, and an unbelievable number of cats. I enjoy reading, gardening, and collecting garden gnomes.
My goals for the year are to increase our students confidence in reading. I want them to read with expression and take pride in their ability! I also hope to foster a love of learning and critical thinking!
