Cynthia Morrow
Sixth Grade Social Studies
Experience
I first started in education 4 years ago as an assistant in first grade. I used that as a stepping stone into my teaching position here at LCMS 3 years ago. This year will be my third year teaching in my own classroom. I am so excited to be teaching Social Studies this year.
Teacher's Wish List
Because we still are seeing covid-19 hanging around, any of these items would be helpful in keeping our classroom sanitized and free of harmful germs. These items are not necessary for your student's success, but would be very helpful if you have extras at home you would be willing to donate. Thank you in advance!
- Lysol/Clorox Wipes
- Lysol spray
- Hand sanitizer
- Paper towels
Also, below is a link to my Amazon wish list if you feel inclined to donate resources to our classroom "store." Thank you!
About Me

Education
I have lived in DeSoto County my entire life. I grew up in Lake Cormorant and graduated from Horn Lake High School in 2003. I went on to Northwest Mississippi Community College for my first two years and finished at the University of Mississippi-DeSoto Center. I graduated with a Bachelor's of Business Administration. I decided that teaching was the career path I wanted to take so I completed the MAPQT alternate route for my certification. I am currently enrolled in a master's program to earn my MSEd in Gifted, Talented, and Creative.
Bio
I was born and raised in DeSoto County. Most of my early childhood was spent in Lake Cormorant until we moved to Horn Lake in my middle school years. Shortly after graduating college, I married my now husband. We are blessed with beautiful twin girls who just turned 9 years old. My mother has been a teacher my entire life, so education is in my blood. I am a life-long learner so this job is perfect for me! This will be my fourth year teaching at LCMS.
