Education

I graduated from the University of Memphis.  I have a Bachelors degree in English and History. I also attended the Teach Mississippi Institute at the University of Mississippi. I am currently pursuing my Master's Degree in Educational Leadership at Arkansas State University. 

Experience

This will be my third year teaching ELA at Lake Cormorant Middle School. I love what I do and enjoy seeing students achieve their goals. I am also the Student Council sponsor at LCMS, encouraging students to participate in charitable works for their school and community. Go Gators!

Bio

My name is Christian Samples Joyner. I am a native Tennessean (GO VOLS!!), but have called Mississippi home for the past five years.
I have been married to my husband JJ for twenty four years. We are very involved with a travel softball organization in Jackson, TN named Lady Jaxx. I love to watch my Vols play football, basketball and baseball. I also enjoy traveling whenever possible as well as camping, hiking, fishing and enjoying the great outdoors.
I have two daughters; Peyton, 23 and Jalyn, 18.

While some of us are distance learning as a result of COVID-19, I have included free online resources that will help occupy your time and keep your reading stamina strong. Even if you aren't distance learning, please fell free to use these resources as well. 

 

  • The Libby App will allow you to access Ebooks, and audiobooks through your library card. 
  • OpenLibrary.org (https://openlibrary.org/) contains many online books and stories sorted by the genre
  • Goodreads.com (https://www.goodreads.com/) gives you access to free online books.
  • Openculture.com (http://www.openculture.com/) offers you a variety of resources about pop culture such as movies, music, and TV. 
  • Youtube also has a great collection of free audiobooks.
